PAUL AND ROBYN SEWELL HAVE BEEN BREEDING BELGIAN BLUES FOR OVER 20 YEARS.
Over this time we have achieved the following breeding objectives : calving ease, combined with high growth rate, length and height, while still retaining the double muscling which defines the breed.
We have also concentrated on structure and calf vigour, producing free moving animals that can handle NZ conditions.
Our bulls are used in beef herds as a terminal sire , producing higher yielding carcasses and high growth rates.
They are also sold into the dairy industry where they have proven to be easy calving while producing valuable calves which are highly suited to the prime beef market. Our low birth weight bulls have also been used by dairy farmers over heifers, once again proving to be easy calving.
Belgian Blue Friesian cross calves will be available from August 2017.
